PhD Candidate
Madison is a PhD student at Monash University supervised by Professor Melodie McGeoch. Madison’s research involves investigating the conservation status of sub-Antarctic species and how to account for climate change, with a particular focus on flora species. Prior to this, Maddison obtained her MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Waikato in her home country of New Zealand. During her master’s studies, she focused on the movement of contaminants from penguin colonies via seasonal melt streams. Madison’s academic pursuits are driven by a passion for conservation. Outside of academia, she volunteers at ecological sanctuaries, working to safeguard Kiwi and other endangered flora and fauna.
